Heavy Equipment Site Safety Checklist

Safe rentals start before mobilization. Use this checklist to prepare access, ground conditions, traffic movement, temporary power, and lifting requirements.

Before delivery

  • Confirm equipment capacity, attachments, and job scope.
  • Share location pin, access width, gate restrictions, and working hours.
  • Check ground bearing, slopes, underground utilities, and overhead hazards.

During operation

  • Separate pedestrians, vehicles, and lifting zones.
  • Keep spotters, banksmen, and supervisors aligned on signals.
  • Inspect lifting points, outriggers, tires, hydraulic systems, and cables before use.

Temporary power

  • Place generators in ventilated areas away from combustible materials.
  • Protect cables from vehicle movement, standing water, and sharp edges.
  • Confirm load, startup surge, grounding, and distribution requirements.

Add safety details to your quote request

When requesting heavy equipment rental, include any tight access, lifting hazards, night work, permit timing, live traffic, shutdown schedules, or power restrictions so the rental package can be planned correctly.
